Pssst! You want to know Brisbane’s best kept secret? Two words; The. Servery. Its aroma filled kitchen and welcoming chef’s serving bench is the intimate and unique dining experience you have been dreaming of.
Produce is seasonal, check out The Servery’s FB page for menu updates
So you have dreamed of having a beautiful, big chef’s kitchen bench set amongst produce filled baskets, in an aroma filled servery with a chef cooking away and serving YOU wholesome, homely food…? Guess what? Your dream is a reality, hiding above the well-loved, Pearl Café in The Gabba.
Some genius at Pearl Café decided to allow guests (up to 8) to sit in the upstairs kitchen, where staff prepare the night’s dinner and desserts. This brilliant and intimate concept allows you to have personal one on one interaction with the staff, who proudly talk with you about where (the amazeballs) camembert you just devoured is made and passionately discuss the ingredients of the chilli infused salami on your platter board.
The Servery’s chalk board menu offers delicious serving of French cheeses, cured meats (sliced in the meat slicer at the table!), olives and fresh breads. Roast lamb shoulder, duck fat potatoes, Tassie sea trout, roasted porchetta also regularly feature on the seasonal supper menu. The complete menu of delicious wines and sophisticated cocktails compliment the amazing range of food available, right there amongst the chef’s kitchen bench.
Warning: Food envy is inevitable. The Servery ovens produce trays of divine food which is sent downstairs for diners. Don’t worry, when you are overcome by the heavenly oven aromas and you want a slice of the freshly baked baby pear and almond tart, the kitchen staff will plate it for you before it leaves the warm kitchen. Brilliant!
It is rare to have the pleasure of leisurely chatting with staff between mouthfuls of melting cheeses and sips of cocktails in such a homely, intimate atmosphere. This dining secret is almost too good to share. But the secret is out now.
